Let's Hear it for the Boys

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope you are enjoying this fall like weather. The past few days have been beautiful weather here in NEPA, but the "air" has been thick and dark as we wait for the authorities to find the suspected shooter who ambushed a state police barracks and shot two troopers, one is dead and the other is critically injured. It's all anyone can think about here. Some school districts closer to the barracks have been closed for 3 days, our school has canceled outdoor recess and after school outdoor activities because of all the woods around where we live. We are only about 20 miles from the state police barracks. I pray for the families of the troopers, the troopers and all others out searching for this individual and anyone else involved in this senseless tragedy and ask you to pray for them as well.

I know it's difficult to go from what I just shared to a stamping project, but it is Fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping and I need to share with you this week's challenge, a masculine card. Kind of ironic that I live with 3 males but find masculine card difficult to make. Or maybe, it's just that I really like doing the pretty, girly cards. LOL

This is a good, quick and easy, masculine birthday card that can easily reach across the generations. It's not too young looking or too old looking for a child. Now that' an accomplishment. I actually received a card similar to this as a convention swap and I just changed the washi tape which dictated changing the colors up. Interesting thing is the washi tape is from the Holiday catalog, meant for the interesting set, Visions of Santa, but you can see that it can easily be  used for non-Christmas cards as well. I love when something can have more than one use.

This card is the kind of card you can make multiples of within little time so you can have them ready to use when you need a card in a jiffy. Switch the washi tape and come up with a totally different look (remember, that's exactly what I did).

Thanks for stopping by today, don't forget to check out the Sisters in Stamping blog to see more great masculine card ideas. I know we can all use more ideas for the men in our life.
