Love is Hanging Around

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today at Sisters in Stamping we are doing a color challenge. Sometimes the biggest challenge is coming up with colors to put together, so a color challenge can certainly help make your decisions a whole lot easier.  This color challenge was to use the following colors: crumb cake, whisper white, primrose petals, pink pirouette and blushing bride. I was pretty excited to use these colors because I wanted to try make this card and it fit perfectly.

I saw a similar card at Leadership earlier this month and have been wanting to make it since. Imagine, you can hang so many things from the tree branches; eggs, snowflakes, and ornaments to name a few. Isn't it just adorable?  I want to make more, more and then some more because it's so cute.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more ideas using this color challenge.

    Are You Ready to Sale-a-brate?

    Hello Stamping Friends,

So glad you stopped by today. It is Fabulous Friday and that means it is time for another great posting with the Sisters in Stamping. This week we decided to share with you some projects (not cards) made using the Sale-a-bration items that you can select for FREE (beginning January 28) with any purchase of $50 in product (before shipping and tax). The stamps, accessories and kits in this year's Sale-a-bration brochure are awesome. There is something for everyone and quite honestly you are going to love several of the items in there so why don't you have a party and earn some of it for FREE along with all the other Hostess benefits?

I made a bookmark using the adorable Heartfelt banner kit. Who said I had to use it just for a banner?  Isn't this a cute little bookmark? It's fun to think outside the box, just wish I could do it on my own more often, lol.  Another demonstrator mentioned making bookmarks using the banner kit, so I took her idea and ran with it.

I really love how it turned out. It really was quick and super easy to make. Here's a close-up of the heart on the bookmark. I used a few additional items that do not come in the kit to spice it up a bit.

And finally, here it is all tucked inside my daily devotional book, making it easier to find the day.

    Stamping Supplies Used:

    Stamps: None
    Ink: None
Paper: Silver glimmer paper & Calypso Coral cardstock
Accessories: Heartfelt banner kit, tombo multi-purpose adhesive, 7/8" scallop circle punch, small heart punch, basic pearls

    Some Treats for You

    Hello Stamping Friends,

So happy you stopped by to see what I have today. Plus I'm thrilled that it's Friday. Why, you ask? Well, it means it's the weekend and it means that the Sisters in Stamping has some great ideas to share with you.  This week we are sharing treat ideas with you. I love making treats to give to people. It's just a little something to let them know you are thinking of them.

I made little gum packets that are so pretty, you don't even really care about what's inside. Okay, maybe not completely true but you can't blame me, just take a look for yourself.

You can do this with any gum packet. Just measure the packet itself to get all the measurements you need. No special pattern needed. I even free-handed the curve on the front, but if you are afraid you won't like doing that, you can always use one of the edgelits and then you know it will work out.

The gum packet is held closed by a small piece of Velcro.

Isn't it a darling little treat that you would love to receive?

Bundle, Bundle, Hear All About It

    Hello Stamping Friends,

Greetings from Houston. Finishing up our Leadership Conference. Great things are coming and that's all I'm going to say for now. How's that for a tease? I will share more once I get home, I promise. But for now let's concentrate on Fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping.

You know there's this awesome Occasions Catalog that was recently released, so we are going to share even more great products with you today from that catalog. Today's focus: the bundles. I love the bundles because you get to get a few new toys that coordinate together at a discounted price. Gotta love a savings.

I used the Just Sayin' Bundle. The set is so fun. It has a bunch of phrases in word bubbles and the framelits are perfect to cut them out. You know how I love to cut things out but I'm loving the framelits because they make my life a little easier on that front. This is a rather simple card or so I thought (lol). The embossed layer of alphabets adds so much punch to this card.

I also used some other new products on the card. Do you know what they are? Look below in the supply list to see what they are.

    Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Just Sayin' and Petite Petals
    Ink: Whisper White
Paper: Crumb Cake & Whisper White Cardstock
Accessories: Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon, Just Sayin' Framelits, Alphabet Press embossing folder, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Petite Petals Punch, Snail Adhesive

    Hello Stamping Friends,

It's a New Year so why not start off with a new catalog, right? Well that's just what we are doing today. The Occasions Catalog has made it's debut today. It is filled with so  many great things (stamps, accessories, and big shot items) for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter, Graduation and several other occasions.

So today over at Sisters in Stamping we are sharing with you some of our favorite items from the occasions catalog in way of finished projects. Be sure to go check them out for more inspiration.

This is my card for today. If you were one of the lucky ones that attended my last minute sneak peek event earlier this week, you actually got to make this card for yourself.  I thought this was a great card for today because it is a "happy day" when a new catalog is released. Who doesn't love new products to play with?

I used four different items on my card from the Occasions catalog. Do you know what they are?  Okay, okay, I'll tell you. I used the Starburst sayings stamp set, the matching framelits for the stamps (starburst framelits dies), the fringe scissors (I looove them), and the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper.

This card is so fun. It can be for any occasion, birthday, new job, good grades, or just saying it's a happy day.

    Stamps: Starburst Sayings
    Ink: Tangerine Tango
