A Fun Surprise Treat

Hello Stamping Friends,

Is your weekend off to a great start?

Today I have a great little treat that will surely surprise anyone you give it to.  This is pretty easy to put together too.  Having a birthday party this would be a wonderful party favor to give to each of your guests.  They will be talking about you and your party for some time afterward that's for sure.

I used the Tea for Two designer series paper and the Make a Wish stamp set, both from the Spring Catalog. Don't you just love how the designer series paper take so much of the work of designing a project away?  Your colors are picked for you and you know that they are definitely going to match and look "AWESOME" together.

So here it is, pull on the ribbon and your treat comes out with it.  Now I used chicklets but you can use any type of boxed gum, candy bar or even make a bigger one using the boxes of candy that you can buy at the movie theater.

The trick is that the ribbon is wrapped around the box of gum and then each side of ribbon is put through a hole you punch in the outer covering. Tie the ribbon in a knot at the end and viola you have your own little pulley system and a wonderful treat.

Just another quick look at it from a different angle. It's a bit difficult to see in these pictures but the Island Indigo cardstock is embossing with the perfect polka dot embossing folder. It adds so much to the finished look of this project.

And a close-up of the birthday cake on the front. This cake was finished off with some glittery frosting on each layer. And some sparkly candles that are waiting to be blown out.  I think it was the perfect finishing touch to this card, but then again, I also believe you can never have too much glitter (I know several of you disagree).
