January Punch Class Share #1

Hello Stamping Friends,

This was one of the cards we made at my January punch class. Cute little baby pins, a great card to give to accompany any new baby gift. It's so fun and festive with the banner and garland designer paper as the background, don't you think?

I love how you can use punches for things other than their actual shape that they punch. I also love that other people are so creative and can think outside the box so easily because I then get to share their ideas with all my stamping friends too.

Stamps: A word for You
Ink: Baja Breeze
Paper: Baja Breeze, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Silver Cardstock & Patio Party Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Snail Adhesive, Large Oval, Small Oval (retired), 1/2" circle punch, and 1/4"circle punch

Such a Pretty Rose

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today I need to share with you such a pretty rose card. I received this card from my friend Debbie N. in Virginia (many of you know her as one of my sisters in stamping) for my birthday. Yes, that was a few weeks ago, but I'm just now getting a chance to take a picture and post it for your eyes to enjoy.

Isn't this a awesome card. I love the grid on the white cardstock. Debbie created the grid first by using the Simply scored and then she stamped the rose on top of it. I always love the 2 step stamping flowers, especially the roses. They look wonderful all the time.  Also, check out the cutest little bow, I'm more than sure Debbie made it using a fork. Gotta love those fork bows, so easy and pretty every time.

Here's a close-up of the main focal image of the card. Just wanted you to see how neat this technique is.  Thank you very much Debbie for such a pretty birthday greeting. I loved the card and it sure brightened my day when I opened it.

Little Valentine's for your Little Ones

Hello Stamping Friends,

Well, yesterday I share with you a Valentine for your special "big" person and now today I need to share with you some Valentine's for your special "little" people.  Whether you make these Valentine's to give to those "little" people or you make them for them to hand out to their friends and classmates, these are great little cards.

There are four different card designs which are all 3"x 3" in size. Just the right size for a "little" person.

I love all four designs but I think this one may be my favorite one. I love the banners, the "lacy" heart and then the glimmer heart adds the perfect touch.

This one is a pretty easy card to put together. Punch a heart from glimmer paper, add a greeting on some designer series paper and there you have it. Well, except for the red rhinestones. You noticed those, right?  Well, do you know how I got red rhinestones?  We don't sell them, ours are just clear rhinestones. Well, I did use ours but I colored them with a red permanent marker. So, yes, you can have rhinestones in any color you'd like.

Here's another great one. Of course, I already said I like all of them.  I really think the little glimmer heart brings together this card.

And this is the last one. I love all the glimmer on this one. It's a really easy card to duplicate if you don't have a lot of time. Just punch a punch of glimmer hearts from red and one silver to make it stand out. Attach in a grid pattern and there you have it. You make a lot of these with the help of your little one too.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Hearts A Flutter
Ink: Primrose Petals, Basic Gray
Paper: Whisper White & More Amore Designer Series Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper, & Red Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Small Heart Punch, Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Paper Snips, Big Shot, Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Basic Rhinestones

Everything a Valentine Should Be

Hello Stamping Friends,

Are you staying warm?  It's sooooo cold here in NEPA. My kids have had a delay everyday this week. They are loving this week and not complaining at all. In fact, Jonah said to me this morning that it is a miracle. He's sad, right?  NOT!!!!!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by again for another Fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping.  This week we are focusing on Valentine's. Valentines' Day is only a few short weeks away so it's definitely time to start thinking about your special Valentine and the special card that you are going to make for that Valentine.

I went with everything that I thought a Valentine should be when I was a young girl. Lace, hearts, ribbon, ruffles, sparkle, flowers and lots of pink and red. Doesn't that cover everything a Valentine should be?  Well, that's what I thought (and who am I kidding, I still think that) when I was a little girl.  So, when I set out to make this week's card, that's exactly what I went for. All of it. Thank goodness, Stampin' Up! came out with the Artisan Kit in the Spring catalog. It had just about all the things I wanted right there in one package. And you know what's even cooler, I didn't use any stamps or ink on this card but I love, love, love the way it turned out. What do you think?

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: None
Ink: None
Paper: Whisper White, Primrose Petals & More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Artisan Embesllishments Kit, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Paper Snips, Sticky Strip, Small Heart Punch

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more Valentine card ideas.

Have you been enjoying my being back? Sorry for the sporadic-ness (as if that's even a word) in my posting over the past few weeks. It's been a little hectic but I hope I'm back for good now.  There's so much going on in the Stampin' Up! world and I hope you are loving all of it. I know I'm excited for all that is happening and all that is coming soon. So in honor of all my love for the new things, my love for all of you (my biggest supporters and cheerleaders) and of course Valentine's day, I hope you love my little banner.

I had so much fun making this cutie. It's great because it's not big so it's easy to find a perfect spot for it just about anywhere in your home or office.

A Pretty Valentine

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today I want to share with you a pretty Valentine card. It's a pretty simple card but it really is so elegant. I love it.  It was the swap card I created for my downline team meeting this past Tuesday.  I have been so busy lately that I literally got all the pieces stamped and die cut just before everyone began walking in the door. So while they stamped the projects I had waiting for them, I put together my swap cards. Hence why they need to be such easy, simple cards.

But, overall, I must admit that I am thrilled with the end result and I don't think I would have done much different if I had a whole lot more time to complete them.  I really love the white on white look. It's so clean and crisp looking, isn't it?

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Hearts a Flutter
Ink: Real Red and Basic Gray
Cardstock: Whisper White
Accessories: Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Big Shot, Dimensionals, snail adhesive, cherry cobbler dazzling details

Be sure to stop by tomorrow because I will be sharing the cards I received as part of this Valentine's swap from some of my team members.

Hello Stamping Friends,

I love the set, it has a fun circus type bike, a ferris wheel, this phone booth and a celebrate word stamp.  It's such a fun set that brings the past alive.  How many of our kids or grandkids would even know what this phone booth is?

A "Whale-y" Cute Card

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping. I really just can't figure out how it is that Friday seems to come faster and faster each week. Not that it's a bad thing at all, especially this week. I'm really excited that it's Friday because I was subbing at the school all week. I'm looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow (aka, no alarm, just wake up whenever I feel like it).

This week at Sisters in Stamping we are showcasing new big shot dies and accessories from the Spring Catalog. Have you seen them yet? If not, why? If it's because you need a catalog, please just let me know and I'll get one to you right away. You seriously don't want to miss out on this one. It's packed full of great things.

Isn't this card "whale-y" cute?  Sorry, just couldn't help myself. When I saw the Oh, Whale set for the first time, I knew I just had to have it. Afterall, I do have a Jonah, so of course, I would need it.  I already have his Valentine's in the works thanks to this set. I'll be sure to show you that later (aka, closer to Valentine's Day).

I used three different new big shot accessories on this card. The cloudy day embossing folder, the Happy Whale clearlit die and the oval framelits.

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for more great cards using new big shot items.

Stamping Supplies Used:

A Cheerful Snowman

Hello Stamping Friends,

Although it's a little warmer than usual here in northeast PA, I thought you would enjoy seeing this cheerful little snowman card. It is one of the cards from last month's punch class. Tonight at punch class we will be making a card suitable for a baby shower or new baby gift as well as a fun sleigh riding child card. If you want to come, just let me know, there's a few spots open.

This chubby snowman is perfect all winter long. He's not just for Christmas that's for sure. So how many punches do you think I used to make this card? Post a comment to let me know.

Okay, gotta run, I'm subbing today so I need to finish getting ready. I just wanted to drop by quick and share a card with you. Hope you have a fantabulous day. Come back tomorrow.

Fancy Shoes are Fun

Hello Stamping Friends,

Do you love shoes? I know I absolutely adore shoes. My youngest son always tries to scold me when we are in stores and I look at shoes. He says, "Mom, you have enough already." And my response is, "Jonah, a girl can never have enough shoes."  Isn't that right? I think this shoe obsession began when my dad was a manager for a shoe department. I blame him. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL

Well, now that you know that dirty little secret, I thought I'd share a card with you that features, what else, but a shoe.  A nice, fancy, high heel shoe.  I love the black, melon mambo and white together.  I embossed the shoe with black powder and then using an aqua painter filled with bleach, I bleached the center of the shoe. It's not that easy to tell in the picture but the shoe is not the melon mambo that the rest of the cardstock is. It is much lighter (look at the back of the shoes, you can see it there).

Yes, this is the second shoe card this in a few days. Don't worry, I'll be back to share even more shoe cards with you. Hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by and come back again tomorrow.

Happy Birthday to Me, Happy Birthday to Me

Hello Stamping Friends,

Just wanted to drop by today and share a birthday card I made. I thought it was the perfect day to share a birthday card, because today is my birthday. I had a wonderful day with my family and couldn't have asked for a better birthday.

I received so many birthday wishes on social media that it kept me busy all day and continued to brighten my day with each one. I smiled all day long and I want to thank you for that.

This card is so pretty in person.  And it's using a technique that I don't do often at all: coloring, watercoloring to make it even better.  I really love how it turned out.  This was inspired by a card that I received as a convention swap but transpired into this. Hope you like it.

Anyway, gotta run, need to get my beauty sleep, I'm subbing at the school tomorrow (and actually through Thursday). Guess it's going to be a busy week.  Thanks for stopping by. Come back tomorrow.

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's wonderful and packed full of all kinds of new goodies. If you don't have one and would like one let me know so I can get one out to you.

This card has one of my favorite things on it.......SHOES. I love shoes, so when I saw this set, I just NEEDED to have it. I love the set it also has a cute little bowtie with it and a watch. Great set for some quick and easy masculine cards.  It's no wonder that I picked this set to share with you first. lol
